PMPG Steuerberatungsgesellschaft is a multidisciplinary tax advisory firm with around 300 employees across ten locations in Germany and Luxembourg.

The firm offers a broad range of services in tax consulting, auditing, and business advisory. PMPG supports companies from various industries – from mid-sized businesses to international organizations – in efficiently managing tax and financial challenges.

As the firm grew and data handling became increasingly complex, the demands on its digital infrastructure also increased. Topics such as audit-proof document management, efficient collaboration across multiple locations, and secure communication became significantly more important. Against this backdrop, the need for a modern, scalable, and future-proof IT solution became increasingly urgent.

Status quo

The existing IT infrastructure was no longer designed to meet current requirements in several key areas.

The system reached its limits, particularly when it came to securely managing sensitive data and efficiently organizing documents. A powerful document management system with fully digital workflows was missing, as were modern tools for seamless collaboration across multiple locations.

For a firm like PMPG, with its high quality standards, these elements are essential to ensuring long-term efficiency, compliance, and service quality.

The challenge

The goal was to implement a solution that would enable a seamless migration to a modern document management system – without disrupting day-to-day operations and while maintaining the highest level of data security.

At the same time, a modern collaboration platform was needed to support remote work, seamless internal communication, and efficient collaboration across all locations. The objective was to simplify processes, increase transparency, and establish a scalable, future-proof digital infrastructure.

The solution

CONVOTIS managed the complete migration to the latest DATEV DMS, with a strong focus on data integrity, minimal downtime, and maximum security.

All documents and structures were transferred seamlessly, ensuring a smooth transition for employees. At the same time, Microsoft 365 was implemented, including Microsoft Teams for chat, video conferencing, and real-time collaboration.

The solution enables faster information sharing, more efficient coordination, and fully supports hybrid working models. The project was further enhanced by the implementation of advanced security standards to provide additional protection for sensitive client data.

Today, PMPG benefits from a modern and powerful digital working environment.

Secure document storage with DATEV DMS ensures shorter processing times, significantly improved document retrieval, and fully audit-proof documentation.
