Headquartered in Switzerland with a branch in the US, the company serves customers worldwide. As part of its digital transformation, GEZOLAN partnered with CONVOTIS to build a scalable E-Commerce platform and migrate its IT infrastructure to a private cloud – enabling international growth, multi-currency transactions, and optimized order processes.
Status quo
Previously, GEZOLAN lacked a dedicated E-Commerce solution and relied on separate, non-integrated systems. Ordering processes for licensed buyers were manual and fragmented.
The existing IT environment was not cloud-based, limiting scalability and global access. The goal was to modernize both the IT infrastructure and ordering platform for a streamlined, secure, and globally available digital customer experience.
The challenge
The challenge was to design a customized E-Commerce platform that supports complex order workflows, customer-specific pricing, and multi-currency transactions.
At the same time, the full IT infrastructure needed to be migrated to a secure private cloud. The system had to offer high availability, international reach, and low maintenance requirements. Additionally, the platform needed to automate approvals, simplify processes, and provide a flexible foundation for future digital growth.
The solution
CONVOTIS built a tailored E-Commerce solution that enables flexible ordering, international use, and currency-specific pricing.
The platform includes user roles, workflow automation, and integrations with back-end systems. In parallel, the entire IT infrastructure was migrated to a private cloud, ensuring enhanced scalability and reduced operating costs. The modular architecture supports future expansion and is maintained by CONVOTIS as a managed service.
The result
Today, GEZOLAN operates a secure, cloud-based platform that handles global orders across multiple currencies.
Licensed customers benefit from a streamlined buying process with faster approvals and better transparency. The system is scalable, available worldwide, and supports future growth. Moving to a private cloud improved performance and reliability, while reducing administrative effort and enabling flexible access across international teams and locations.
