The Herzogtum Lauenburg Jobcentre offers comprehensive services to citizens and businesses in areas such as job placement, advice and social support.
A modern web portal was developed to make it easier to access information, services and digital offerings. The aim was to create a user-friendly, accessible and future-proof platform that would enable citizens, employers and other stakeholders to quickly access relevant information and digital services.
Status quo
Prior to the project, the Jobcentre required a modern web platform that met current technical, functional and legal requirements.
The existing solution needed to be replaced by a well-structured, user-friendly portal that presented information clearly and allowed for intuitive navigation. Furthermore, the new platform had to cater to different target groups, including citizens, employers and other stakeholders, and provide quick access to services and information.
The challenge
The new platform had to meet high standards of usability and accessibility.
At the same time, legal and security requirements had to be taken into account. The portal had to be multilingual and allow for flexible expansion in the long term. It also had to ensure the integration of future interfaces with other systems or client portals, and enable Jobcentre staff to manage and maintain content independently.
The solution
CONVOTIS implemented a modern web portal based on the open-source content management system SLU.
The solution is technically based on PHP and the Symfony framework, enabling a flexible and scalable platform architecture. Interfaces for future system integrations were also taken into account. In addition to the technical implementation, the project included the migration of existing content, the creation of a user-friendly editorial environment, and training for Jobcenter editors to enable them to manage content independently.
The result
With its new website, the Jobcenter Herzogtum Lauenburg now has a modern, user-friendly platform for citizens and partners.
The portal offers structured access to information and services, meeting current accessibility and security requirements. Thanks to its open architecture and the content management system implemented, the platform can be flexibly expanded and developed over the long term. At the same time, internal editors can manage and maintain content efficiently.
