With the launch of a new official website, the local council has fundamentally modernised its digital communications. The aim was to create a high-performance, future-proof web platform that provides clearly structured information and enables residents to access council services with ease.
Status quo
The existing website needed to be replaced by a modern platform that met both the municipality’s organisational and editorial requirements.
At the same time, the new website needed to offer a clear information structure and present content in such a way that citizens could find relevant information quickly and intuitively. It was also necessary to ensure consistent display across different devices.
The challenge
The new website had to meet both the functional and technical requirements of modern public sector digital services.
Key priorities included intuitive navigation, fast loading times, a clear information architecture and a high level of usability. Furthermore, the platform had to be fully accessible and allow for the reliable integration of municipal services, so that citizens could quickly identify the relevant departments and contacts.
The solution
CONVOTIS developed a new WordPress-based website using a customised template architecture built on the Bootscore theme.
The frontend was specifically designed to ensure an optimal user experience on desktop, tablet and smartphone devices. In addition, an interface with the service finder (ZUFISH) was integrated, enabling citizens to quickly identify the relevant authorities and contacts for their enquiries. The platform combines a clear information structure with modern web technologies and enables efficient content management by the municipal administration.

With its new website, the municipality of Ammersbek now has a modern digital platform for public information and municipal services.
