Status quo
Legacy systems used for managing and connecting air quality monitoring stations lacked reliability and remote access.
Data transmission was unstable, fault detection delayed, and on-site interventions time-consuming. A secure, scalable solution was needed to connect remote stations to a centralized system and enable secure remote maintenance without service interruptions.
The challenge
The department required a unified solution for secure connectivity between various monitoring stations and a central backend.
It needed to provide encrypted access, centralized monitoring, and support remote service interventions. The system had to be compatible with multiple station types, minimize manual maintenance, and remain scalable for future extensions of the monitoring network.
The solution
CONVOTIS implemented a secure tunnel architecture via its Conciliator Service, enabling encrypted, real-time connections between all stations and the CONVOTIS Private & Sovereign Cloud.
Service technicians now access the infrastructure through a secured jumpstation. The backend performs centralized monitoring and synchronizes data continuously, ensuring high availability, data consistency, and minimal manual intervention.
