Implementation SAP S4/HANA – Petrol Group

The world’s leading company in the development of information systems, SAP, awards the SAP Quality Awards annually for implementations of SAP software that achieve excellence in all ten SAP quality criteria. These criteria assess efficiency in planning, execution and management of the implementation, as well as successes in simplifying business processes and achieving tangible business benefits for the organization.

Over 100 individuals from Petrol and 35 consultants from the company Sapphir were involved in the project to implement the ERP system SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori applications. During the phase of documenting the old and planning the new business processes, over 300 workshops were held and 95 documents were created, totalling over 5,000 pages. Through close collaboration and diligent work, the companies managed to conduct the implementation project from research to operation start in just 14 months.

The solution is utilized in Slovenia by 4,600 employees across departments such as accounting, finance, controlling, procurement, sales, human resources, petroleum products and public services. To provide comprehensive support for the specificities of business operations in the various sectors Petrol operates in, three industry solutions are being introduced: Utility, Oil and Gas, and Retail. The new ERP system will also be gradually transferred to subsidiaries in regional markets, with the entire project expected to be completed by the end of 2021.
