Since its founding in 1824, Bodensee-Schiffsbetriebe GmbH (BSB), a subsidiary of Stadtwerke Konstanz GmbH since 2003, based in Konstanz, has evolved into a significant player in the shipping industry. With 200 employees and an annual turnover of 16 million euros, BSB distinguishes itself through its commitment to environmental management, as confirmed by the EMAS certificate.
A central management system for ship coordination, travel planning, and personnel administration has been developed – our Shipping Company Management System (RMS) represents an advanced operational software that goes far beyond the functionalities of a conventional electronic logbook for passenger ships. RMS is designed to simplify work processes both in the harbor and on board with high transparency, leading to significant cost savings.
Advanced technologies such as WinForms, C#, DevExpress XAF and MS SQL Server were employed to provide a powerful and efficient solution.
The implementation of the electronic logbook has yielded significant benefits in data capture and management, with unrestricted online and offline functionality ensuring continuous reliability. These advantages, complemented by comprehensive integration of management functions and ongoing support through regular updates, have significantly increased the operational efficiency and responsiveness of our fleet.
