HANA Migration & S/4-Conversion– LiSEC Group

Industry: Flat Glass Processing and Refinement

The LiSEC Group, a globally operating machinery manufacturer with over 60 years of experience, provides innovative individual and complete solutions for flat glass processing and refinement. The extensive range of services includes machinery, automation solutions, software, and services.

In the pursuit of continuous development, LiSEC has been relying on SAP systems for many years. In this context, the decision was made last year to take another significant step.

At the beginning of the previous year, the initiative to virtualize and migrate the existing SAP landscapes was launched. Our Linux specialists supported the setup of virtual machines (VMs) and provided comprehensive support in the operating system area. The CONVOTIS SAP Basis Team then took over the OS/DB migration from AIX & Oracle to SLES & SAP HANA.

In addition to these steps, we supported LiSEC in the seamless integration of Veeam Backup and the implementation of SAP HANA monitoring using Wotan. These measures contribute to optimizing data security and ensuring effective system monitoring.

This year, another challenging task awaited: the comprehensive applicative and technical conversion from SAP R/3 to SAP S/4HANA. The CONVOTIS team successfully realized the entire technical conversion. This strategic step was crucial to optimize the extensive production and business process landscape and continue to offer innovative solutions in the glass processing industry.

With the support of CONVOTIS, we were able to not only increase our process efficiency but also establish a future-proof IT infrastructure. The expertise and commitment of CONVOTIS played a significant role in the success of our project."
